Why do I take on new challenges?

Based on my 30 years of IT experience and after running the blockchain company Lambda256, I have embarked on a new challenge through Noone21, established in 2025, to develop DeFAI (Decentralized Finance AI) services combining AI and blockchain, and to enter the global market through the acquisition of KLEVA DeFi service.

Professional Background
After majoring in computer science, I’ve been at the forefront of technological evolution from 1994 to 2025, witnessingthe transformative impact of Internet, Web, Java, CORBA, the dot-com bubble, Cloud and SaaS, Mobile, blockchain, and AI. My career includes two successful startups and exits, executive positions at Samsung Electronics and SKT, and developing numerous innovative services from search engines to Samsung Pay.

Blockchain Journey
In 2019, inspired by blockchain technology and decentralization philosophy, I spun off Lambda256 from Dunamu. Despite our efforts to popularize blockchain technology through Luniverse blockchain cloud for six years, we had to focus on enterprise blockchain solutions due to limitations as a subsidiary of a cryptocurrency exchange company.

Current State of Korean Blockchain
The Korean cryptocurrency and blockchain market has faced challenges due to negative perceptions, regulatory gaps, and speculation, contrasting with the progressive developments in the US, Singapore, Japan, and EU. Many blockchain companies have either closed or relocated overseas, while talented individuals have left the industry.

 

New Vision: AI and Blockchain Convergence
After much consideration, I’ve identified a new opportunity in combining blockchain with AI technology. AI Agents and robots will become economic entities requiring means for transactions and transparent distribution - needs that blockchain technology can fulfill. Additionally, AI can enhance blockchain services’ usability through natural language interfaces and LLMs.

 

Noone21 and KLEVA Acquisition

 

In January 2025, we established Noone21 in Singapore, focusing on creating a global team of talented individuals and operating through a DAO structure. We received an offer to acquire KLEVA service from the Wemix Foundation, which we accepted based on two factors:

• The potential opportunity in crisis
• Our preparation in AI Agent and blockchain convergence

 

We plan to transform KLEVA into “KLEVA AI,” developing it into a DeFAI (Decentralized Finance AI) platform that enhances traditional DeFi with AI capabilities, including natural language interfaces and AI-driven investment analysis.
The project transition is expected to complete by the end of February, after which we will announce our detailed roadmap. We aim to grow KLEVA AI into the world’s leading DeFAI platform.
